Happy Independence Day!

Wishing you and your family a very Happy Independence Day!

Independence Day

As you reflect upon the significance of this holiday and the freedoms we enjoy as Americans, may we never forget the even greater freedom we enjoy through Christ.

John 8:36  If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Take some time today as a family to discuss the freedoms we enjoy and the the great sacrifices that have made them possible.  And enjoy a hot dog (or 2 or 3), while making some lasting family memories.

Thanks for allowing our family to have a small part in yours.  Cheering you on in your corner as you fight the good fight for your family.

May God bless you, and may God Bless America!

I’m a Better Christian Today Because of These 4 Things a New Believer Taught Me

With the new birth at salvation comes new life in Christ. It’s fresh. It’s raw. And it’s real.

I love seeing the “new man” develop in the heart and life of a new believer in Christ. And one of the biggest reasons is because it’s energizing and motivating to those of us who are sometimes guilty of allowing the “newness” of what we’ve been given in Christ to wear off and begin to fade a bit.

If a Graveyard Could Speak, I Think It Would Say…

As I walked through that old graveyard, one cold January afternoon,
My eyes scanned hundreds of tombstones that occupied that room.

I went there to find some solace, and reflect upon my life,
To evaluate my living towards my friends, my kids, my wife.

I couldn’t help but think of all the stories buried there,
What is now all peace and quiet was once filled with daily care.

Each tombstone represented a life, some of them even two,
Of people who lived just like you and me, but still died like people do.

Welcome to My New Blog!

Thank you for taking the time to visit this blog! My name is Andrew Linder and I am passionate about ministering to kids, their families, and others who desire to make a difference in the next generation.

Are you a parent with kids still in the home?
Are you a ministry leader or volunteer who is passionate about reaching the next generation?
Are you simply interested in knowing more about what this blog is all about?

If you fit into any of the above categories, this blog is designed for you. Working with kids and their families is one of the greatest privileges anyone can be given. It is literally the opportunity to shape and mold the future of the world around us. My desire is to encourage and motivate you with practical ideas and content that will energize your family life and ministry.

The Lord has allowed my wife and I the privilege of having 13 years of experience on an amazing church staff. We have served in many capacities, but primarily with children ages 6th grade and below. This experience has brought with it a better understanding of how to minister to children, both in our own home and in the church.

Parenting is hard. If you’ve ever felt like the weight of responsibility on your shoulders is greater than you can carry, you’re not alone.

Kids Ministry is essential. Those who work with kids are not doing something of less value than those who work with teenagers or adults. In fact, they are working with the world’s greatest mission field – children.

Ministry life is challenging. Like my mom always used to tell me, “If you’re in ministry, you have a job more important than the president’s.” Sometimes, you may even feel like you have as much on your plate as the president as well.

I hope that wherever you fall in the above list, you will be able to benefit from the insight and inspiration you will receive by following this blog.

Please subscribe to receive updates as they are posted. I know that you’ll be glad you did!
